The list of reimbursable drugs aims at improving the quality of service for all patients, particularly for people in need. In this regard, through the new list of drugs, FCHC aims at increasing the attention toward categories such as retirees and patients suffering from serious illnesses.
In compiling the list of drugs there are some scientific criteria which have been taken into consideration, by giving priority to drugs used for severe diseases; diseases of high risk for life; diseases that cause disability; diseases that risk of being spread into the society; diseases that cause much suffering as well as chronic illnesses requiring prolonged treatment.

Flotrin Uro contains the active substance terazosin which belongs to a group of medicines (alfa-1-receptor blockers) that relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and emptying of the bladder.

Meliora contains the active substances chloramphenicol, metronidazole, nystatin and hydrocortisone acetate.
Meliora is used to treat or to prevent the vaginal and of the cervix infections caused by certain microorganisms.
Indications:
Meliora ovules are indicated to be used in the adult females. If necessary, Meliora can also be administered to adolescents.

Vaginal ovules - 100 mg
Mikonal contains the active substance miconazole nitrate which is an imidazole antifungal with similar activity to that of ketoconazole. In vitro, it also has some activity against Cladosporium, Madurella, some Phialophora, Pseudallescheria boydii and gram-positive bacteria including some staphylococci and streptococci.
A great number of fungi sensible to miconazole can be inhibited in concentrations of 2 mcg per ml or less.
Small amounts of miconazole are absorbed through the skin or mucous membranes when it is used locally, as cream, solution or vaginal ovules.
Mikonal is used in vaginal and vulvovaginal mycotic infections caused mainly by Candida. The symptoms of this infection include itching, redness and white vaginal discharge. Ovules destroy fungi that cause these infections and some bacteria, which are also present.

Prostacure is used in the treatment of functional symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, such as difficult urination.
The active ingredient of Prostacure is tamsulosin. Tamsulosin is an alpha-1-receptor blocker which reduces the tension in muscles of prostate and urethra. Thus an easier flow of urine through the urethra and urination are facilitated.
