Lecorin contains the active substance lercanidipine hydrochloride, that is a dihydropyridine calcium-channel blocker with actions similar to those of nifedipine.

Lecorin influences the myocardial cells, the cells within the specialised conducting system of the heart, and the cells of vascular smooth muscle. Thus, myocardial contractility, the formation and propagation of the electrical impulse and coronary or systemic vascular tone may be diminished.

Lecorin is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension.

Levomepromazine belongs to the group of phenothiazine neuroleptics.

It acts on hypothalamus, thalamus, reticular formation and on lymbic system, inhibiting the sensory impulses.

Levomepromazine antagonizes dopamine D2 receptors, 5HT3-serotonin receptors, histamine H1 receptors, and cholinergic (muscarinic) receptors.

As a result of this antagonism appears a calming effect in small doses, an antipsychotic effect in high doses, as well as increase of the threshold of pain and stimulation of amnesia.

Levomepromazine also has analgesic, antihistaminic and anticholinergic effect.

This medicine does not cause respiratory depression, therefore it is useful especially in patients with low respiratory reserve.

Levomepromazine is used in the treatment of:

  • psychoses, to control agitation and psychomotor agitation in moderately severe depression;
  • schizophrenia;
  • psychotic disorders with hallucinations;
  • personality disorders in patients with epilepsy;
  • neurotic disorders;
  • as an analgesic to relieve moderate to severe pain prior to surgery;
  • incoercible vomiting.

Lisidigal contains the active substance lisinopril, which belongs to a group of medicines called ACE inhibitors. Lisinopril lowers blood pressure and enables relaxation of the heart muscle.

Lisidigal is used in:

  • treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension);
  • patients whose heart function is weakened (symptomatic heart failure);
  • short-term treatment (6 weeks) of patients whose blood circulation has shown stability within 24 hours of an acute myocardial infarction;
  • treatment of kidney disorders in people with high blood pressure who have type 2 diabetes and previous kidney disease (nephropathy).

Lisidigal HCT is a combination of lisinopril with hydrochlorothiazide. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor, which lowers blood pressure and relaxes the smooth muscle of the heart. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic which stimulates urination.

Lisidigal HCT is used:

  • for the treament of high blood pressure without any known causes (essential hypertension) in patients whose blood pressure cannot be adequately reduced with lisinopril alone (or hydrochlorothiazide alone).

Lorade contains the active substance loratadine, which is part of a group of medicines called antihistamines.

Lorade is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever) and for chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives of unknown origin).

Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Angiotensin II is a chemical in your blood that tightens your blood vessels. Losartan blocks this effect causing the blood vessels to relax and so lowers your blood pressure.

Losartan is indicated:

  • for the treatment of hypertension;
  • for the treatment of heart failure in combination with diuretics and/or digitalis medicine;
  • for the prevention of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy;
  • in the treatment of renal disease in hypertensive, type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria, as part of their antihypertensive treatment.
