Indomethacin belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs are soothing pain medications and reduce swelling (inflammation) with all its signs.

Indometacine suppositories can be used for:

•  inflammatory diseases of the joints or surrounding tissues such as rheumatoid arthritis,  osteoarthritis and degenerative diseases of the coxo-femoral joint;
•   deformation and stiffness of spinal cord (ankylosing spondylitis);
•   muscle pain, back pain and pain coming from the bones;
•   menstrual pain;
•   gout.

 Co-Ultesan is a combination of two active substances, irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide.

Irbesartan belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin II receptors antagonists. Angiotensin II is a substance produced in the body which binds to receptors in blood vessels causing them to tighten. This results in an increase in blood pressure. Irbesartan prevents the binding of angiotensin II to these receptors, causing the blood vessels to relax and the blood pressure to lower.

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a group of medicines called thiazide diuretics, that causes increased urine output and so causes a lowering of blood pressure.

The two active ingredients in Co-Ultesan work together to lower blood pressure further than if either was given alone.

Co-Ultesan is used to treat high blood pressure, when treatment with irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone did not provide adequate control of your blood pressure.

The basic pharmacological effect of isosorbide dinitrate, as all organic nitrates, is relaxing vascular smooth muscles as a result of intracellular cyclic guanosine monophosphate production inducement. Arterioles relaxation reduces systemic vascular resistance and blood pressure.

Nitrosorbit 10 mg tablets are indicated in:

• prophylaxis and treatment of angina pectoris;
• left ventricular failure.

Ketoprofen, a propionic acid derivative, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Dolomed is indicated in:

• the treatment of acute exacerbations of musculoskeletal, joint, articular, peri-articular and soft tissue disorders;

the management of pain after orthopaedic surgery.

Ketofex syrup contains the active substance ketotifen fumarate, which is a medicine used for the prevention and treatment of allergic symptoms.

It is indicated in:

• allergic rhinitisand allergic skindiseasesin terms ofsymptomatictreatment, whentreatment withoralnon-sedatingantihistamines (antihistamines which do not cause drowsiness), and local use of antihistaminesand glucocorticoids, (cortisone preparations) isnot appropriate;
• long-term preventionofasthmatic symptomsin combinationwith other anti-inflammatory drugsin allergicpolysymptomatics (e.g. patients with allergic bronchial asthma and hay fever).

Note:

Ketofex syrup is not suitable for the treatment of acute asthma attacks.
A sole treatment of bronchial asthma with Ketofex syrup is not recommended.

The therapy of severe asthma should be done gradually to be successful.

The therapy should be based on continuous medical search. Doctors estimate that in the progress of the disease and treatment success a daily self-control is important.

If there is no improvement even after following a correct therapy, the doctor should reassess the therapy.

Lanatozid C is a cardiac glycoside with positive inotropic effect. Its effects are similar with digoxin. It increases the myocardial contraction strength and decreases myocardial conductivity, especially the conductivity through the AV node.

Lanatozid C exerts positive inotropic effect and negative chronotropic effect.

Approximately 20% of the used dose is inactivated within 24 hours. Its effects disappear after 3 – 6 days. Digoxin is the metabolite of lanatoside C and it is eliminated through urine.

Lanatozid C is indicated in:

• the treatment of mild to moderately severe heart failure
• the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
